Kraft Foods Gets Droga5 For Its Granola Bar

© jamieanneKraft Foods, one of America's largest confectionery, food and beverage conglomerates, has appointed Droga5 as the creative force behind its launch of a new granola bar in 2012. Although there is nothing new about these granola bars, because they have been available at Wal-Mart stores under the name of "Kraft Milk and Granola Bars", the company has decided to create a brand for its granola bars under the name "MilkBite".
By creating the MilkBite brand for its granola bars, Kraft Foods aim to become a true leader and innovator in the field of dairy snacks. The company has observed and identified a potential to gain a foothold in the field of dairy snacks which features products like string cheese, yogurt as well as yogurt bars. This is evident in the company's official statements where they have called MilkBite granola bars to be launched in January next year one of their "big bets" of 2012.
This is more of good news for Droga5, the independent advertising agency, as this is the second time they team up with Kraft, after they created a successful ad campaign to support their Athenos-style of Greek-style products. The advertising campaign for the launch of the granola bars in 2012 is most likely to include TV ads, digital, social media, sampling and in-store marketing.
