There is no space for discussion when it comes to the advantages and consecutive health benefits of having a good breakfast. One has many alternatives to choose from when it comes to what one should have for breakfast. The following are some of the health benefits of a granola breakfast. A granola breakfast is a good choice, either on its own or mixed with yogurt. In addition to a granola breakfast, granola bars too make a perfect healthy, anytime snack. A granola breakfast can be quite good for one's digestive system since granola is actually a cereal whose base is rolled oats. Oats contain both soluble and insoluble fibres. A granola breakfast cereal often has fruits and nuts mixed in it, which also contain these fibres. Fibre is very good for one's digestion and helps in problems such as constipation and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). A granola breakfast is perfect for those that want to lose weight as well. The protein in the nuts and the high fibre in a granola breakfast cereal aids in keeping one fuller for longer and thus one tends to eat less. Eaten with yogurt or milk for added dairy protein, a granola breakfast can keep one going till lunch without the need to consume any unhealthy snacks.
